Curbar Cottages

Curbar Cottages offers two holiday cottages for rental in the heart of the spectacular Peak District countryside.

The cottages are a recent conversion from what was originally a Cobbler's shop and barn in the middle of the picturesque village of Curbar, overlooked by the imposing Curbar Edge. The buildings are thought to be over 200 years old and have been completely renovated to create traditional accommodation with modern comforts.

Each cottage has a fully fitted kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. They are interconnected through the kitchens and are, therefore, ideal for larger families if required. Alternatively, each cottage is self-contained for two people, with two separate entrance doors. A modern double bed settee is also available in one of the cottages.

The original oak beams have been retained, forming window and door lintels and both internal gable walls are in stone. Outside there is a private gravelled sitting out area and ample car parking. The owners live nearby and are on hand for any queries.

Curbar is arguably one of the most attractive areas of the Peak District and very close to Curbar, Froggatt and Baslow Edges. There is wonderful walking in the immediate vicinity, together with excellent rock climbing for those energetic enough!

The area has a host of other attractions including Chatsworth House and its grounds, Haddon Hall and the bustling market town of Bakewell. There are numerous excellent pubs and restaurants nearby - the owners are happy to provide suggestions based on personal experience!

The Cottages are annually inspected by the English Tourist Board and have been awarded Three Stars for the quality of their accommodation.

The cottages can be rented on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday) and for shorter breaks subject to availability.  Well-behaved pets are welcome.
